Jim believes deeply in the R.W. Emerson quote: “The really great man is the man who makes every man feel great”.

Jim has Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University Dominguez Hills, an Associate of Arts Degree from El Camino College (Torrance) and an Associate of Arts Degree of Culinary Arts from Los Angeles Trade Technical College. Jim made President’s Honor Roll as well as the Dean’s Honor List, and also voted “Most Likely to Succeed” in his graduating class. He was also voted “Outstanding Demonstration of Team Player” and earned “Certificate of Achievement” from Les Amis de Savarin. Jim also has earned the National Restaurant Association Serv Safe Certification and took First Place, Mrs. Cubbisons Fourth Annual Thanksgiving Cook-Off, November 14, 2001.

As Executive Sous Chef - Corporate Catering, Jim created main entrees & menus for Executive corporate personnel on a daily basis (and special occasions) for such major accounting and legal firms as: Price Waterhouse & Coopers , Deloitte and Touche, Ernst and YoungK.P.M.G and Sheppard, Mullin, Richter in the city of Los Angeles. Other festive occasions contributed to were the “Emmy Awards for Arts and Sciences” and numerous private wedding, birthday and anniversary parties.

Jim is currently Chef Instructor for Los Angeles Trade Technical College in Los Angeles and trains students in the fine arts of culinary designs and disciplines.
